Theorem are hosting an ‘Intelligent Engineering with 3D PDF’ seminar

Theorem are hosting our first morning Seminar of 2016: ‘Intelligent Engineering with 3D PDF’ on Thursday 3^rd March 2016 at the newly constructed Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre (AMTC) in Coventry between 10.00am and 12.30pm.

Over the past 12 months we have run a number of very successful morning Seminars on the increasingly popular topic of 3D PDF for Engineering and Manufacturing companies.

The seminar will focus on the use of 3D PDF for Intelligent Engineering covering:

• The 3D PDF format and its use within organisations and supply chains
• How 3D PDF is helping to improve internal and external communication
• How 3D PDF removes ambiguity from the documentation process
• How 3D PDF supports Model Based Definition (MBD) as a means to communicate design intent through to manufacturing replacing the traditional 2D drawing creation
• How sharing 3D information with other departments, such as Purchasing, Marketing, Manufacturing and Sales can improve a company’s communication and processes, whilst reducing costs
• Demonstrations – Publish 3D – Product Suite

A 3D PDF is a standard PDF document that contains interactive 3D content. 3D PDF documents can be consumed by anybody who has access to the free Adobe Reader – from Engineering to Purchasing, Quality & Inspection to Sales & Marketing- helping to unlock Engineering design data for “non-engineers” without the need for specialist tools or knowledge.
Lunch will be provided, giving individuals a chance to network followed by an optional tour of the impressive MTC and AMTC facilities.

Success of first 3D Publishing and Supply Chain seminar leads to another!

Back in April, Theorem Solutions hosted a 3D Publishing and Supply Chain Collaboration seminar at the MTC in Coventry.

The seminar followed on from a two year Government funded VE-Drive research project, of which the development of Publish 3D was a result.

At the seminar guests were given an introduction to 3DPDF’s and our Publish 3D suite of products.

Publish 3D is a software application that embeds 3D models directly from native CAD and Visualization systems into an Adobe PDF, along with any associated meta data, creating an interactive 3DPDF.

A technical demonstration showcasing the features and benefits of Publish 3D was given followed by a discussion on how organisations could use this software as part of their interaction and collaboration with those in their supply chains, as 3DPDF makes it easy to share CAD data internally across departments, and externally across organisations, through the widely used and easily recognisable Adobe PDF format.

Lunch and a guided tour of the MTC facilities were thrown in as well and from the feedback we got from attendees, the seminar was an interesting and informative way to showcase our Publish 3D products.

So we’ve decided to hold another one!

We will be back at the MTC in the coming months, offering insight into how sharing CAD data between organisations can be simplified through the creation of 3D PDF’s , and how our Publish 3D suite of products is the perfect tool to help do so!
